Around 1400hrs the box was dropped for 6388 Maxwell Dr in Co. 27's first due for the apartment fire.  Units arrived on scene with a working fire.  Shortly into the incident command requested a 2nd alarm, units from 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th Batt hit the street.  Truck Co. 20 being passed up for the second was dispatched for smoke in the area on Auth Rd.  While enroute to that command requested a 3rd alarm and the Truck was removed from Auth Rd call and added to the 3rd alarm.  Truck Co. 20 arrived in staging along with units from the 2nd alarm and was put to work in the " Delta Delta " exposure on 3rd floor.  Once on the 3rd floor the Truck crew encountered heavy fire conditions as lines were being placed to stop the quickly running fire.  After 10-15min handlines were operating in exposure " Delta Delta " conditions improved for all companies as there was plenty of work to be done.  Truck crew performed many tasks including , primary searches , venting , checking for exposure problems , assisting engine companies with hot spots.  After about an hour of operating the Truck crew was sent to rehab and shortly after returned to service around 1630hrs.

Special thanks to the A Chief and members who stayed back to maintain a second crew and prepare a very good Christmas Eve dinner.
