Marlboro Volunteers participate in Marlboro Community Day
On Saturday May 18, 2019, the Officers and members of the Marlboro VFD, partnered with the Town of Upper Marlboro to maintain an Engine Crew, EMS Crew for the EMS Cart, and cleared the house for the parade at the Marlboro Community Day.
For the first time in 5 years the town of Marlboro held the annual Marlboro Day or now retitled Marlboro Community Day. Volunteers from thee Marlboro VFD participated in the opening parade with all 3 chiefs Vehicles, the Ambulance, Engine 202, and the career staff with the Squad and PA820, we even had members on a fire themed golf cart at the front of our line up. Volunteers from the Morningside VFD also participated with the Engine and ambulance, and Clinton Volunteers brought the Kenworth Support Pumper out for the parade. Chief Deputy Tiffany Green also came out to lead the fire department units. After the parade volunteer associate members manned our tent in the events area to hand out fire helmets to the kids and fire safety material to the adults.
Throughout the event we maintained a dedicated volunteer Engine Crew and members rotated through working the EMS Cart, 2 patients were seen during the day, neither patient required transport. It was a great event and volunteer pride was very evident.
Thanks to all who came out for the parade and the events of the day!
