Memorial Day flowers placed on the graves of members who have passed
On Friday May 24th members of the Marlboro VFD made their annual trip to cemeteries around Maryland to place flowers on the graves of members who have passed. The Annual event organized by Marlboro VFD Chaplain Roberta Strine, includes a group of members who make this journey on the Memorial Day weekend as a sign of respect and to remember those who have dedicated their time to the Marlboro VFD and to the citizens we serve that have passed. The placement of flowers includes the graves of B. Wesley Cranford the first volunteer killed in Prince George’s County, James M O’Conner who was killed in the line of duty, past Chiefs, and members who all have honorably served.
