
Passing of past Marlboro VFD member Michael L. Wright
The Officers and Members of the Marlboro VFD are saddened to announce the passing of Retired Battalion Chief Mike Wright.
Michael L. Wright better known to most as “Iron Mike” began his fire service career in 70’s as a volunteer at Marlboro VFD Station 45 after serving as a Navy Corpsman. In 1977 he was hired by the Prince George’s County Fire Department graduating from career recruit school #9. Mike served as a firefighter, EMT, Paramedic, and retired in 2003 as Battalion Chief after serving for 26 years.
Please keep the Wright family, his friends, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers.
He will be greatly missed by all!
