Santa runs are completed by the Marlboro VFD Volunteers
The volunteers from the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department spent weekend nights in December escorting Santa Claus throughout the Upper Marlboro area, and 2 special trips to the Montpelier Farm Christmas Festival, to visit area children young and old, toss out some candy and make sure everyone was ready for the big night. The volunteers from the department built the sleigh on a trailer loaned to them just for this project. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who came out, waived and expressed their thanks on Facebook, Nextdoor App, Twitter and other social media. Special thanks to the career and volunteer staff who helped build the sleigh, the managers and staff of home depot who helped with the materials needed for the sleigh, and all of the volunteers from the department who helped make this project a success.
We hope to see you all again next year with Santa Claus!
