George J “Jack” Wyvill is just one part of the many family members who are part of the history of Upper Marlboro and the Marlboro VFD, he served many positions, and was president, and a life member of the department serving for 66 yrs with company 20.  On Wednesday, October 27, 2010, the department was notified of his passing, he was the beloved husband of the late Norma M. Wyvill; loving father of Jeff Wyvill, Deborah (Gary) Curry, and Pamela (Chris) Helminiak; brother of Thelma Beall, Donald Wyvill, and the late Billy Wyvill and Aloise Wells. Also survived by his grandchildren; Patrick Curry, Ryon and Lauren Helminiak, and the late Christopher Curry.  Services to remember his life and his dedication to the department were held at the George P Kalas funeral Home, with services at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.  His final resting place is the Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Maryland.
