
Thoughts and Prayers to the Howard County Fire Department
The Officers and Members of the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department would like to offer thoughts and prayers to the fellow firefighters, friends and family of the firefighter was killed today in a LODD (Line of Duty Death) while working on the scene of a 7 alarm fire.

At approximately 0200hrs, Firefighter Nathan Flynn responded with Howard County Fire and Rescue Department crews to a large residential fire in the 7700 block of Woodscape Drive, in Clarksville, MD, after a reported possible lightning strike. When crews arrived, heavy smoke was visible and firefighters began an interior attack on the home. Firefighter Flynn fell through the floor into the basement around 2:20 this (Monday) morning. Fire department officials report that a mayday was called and RIT pulled Firefighter Flynn from the home at 2:42 a.m. The 13-year veteran was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital at around 5:30 a.m. Flynn was assigned to Station 10, Rivers Park in Columbia.
